Description
This game hits shelves April 27th, 2004
High Tension Battle: The graphic concept of Lineage II assumes a tremendous siege carried out by dozens of characters with advanced 3D details similar to those in fighting games. Picture the castle rampart standing high in the way of surging forces, plains being viewed by riding a dragon high in the sky, and archers on the rampart sniping at the coming enemy. These powerful scenes will be produced with the latest 3D technology. Players at low levels will enjoy hunting for rewards, but as they gain experience and reach higher levels they can enjoy the complex war, politics, and economic systems. Lineage II intends to look simple, but also provides complexity and depth for more seasoned players. Players have many classes and characters to choose from. In Lineage II, each race has its own class tree, enabling players to change their character's appearance as they grow in the game. This makes advancing more fun.

Looks promising but major flaws
You get in the game and find theres a bunch of chinese adena farmers. You learn to hate these quickly. They kill you to keep you out of this area. The money system is costly. You pay millions in game for items, only real way to get money is buy on ebay. The servers crash alot and the ingame support that NCSOFT shows for paying customers is truly pathetic. The ingame harassment , no level restriction on pvp. A level 70 play can kill a level 1 as many times as he likes and player harrasment is "just to be dealt with". I see this game being canceled 1 month into gold and I have seen players quitting in large numbers. The money system is bad, and the pvp player has no restrictions. Any new players will just have a hard time. The graphics are awesome but it lacks some serious content.

Pretty cool!
"WOW!" was the first reaction when I entered the game world of L2. The graphics are awesome (Unreal Warfare engine), the gameplay is smooth, the tutorial is fun and the other people are nice. What does a man want more? (stupid question.) The leveling goes pretty fast, but not too fast. The battles between player and monster are ok, but sometimes it's stupid if u already know who's going to win. (but hey, that's most MMORPG's problem... imo). I totally agree with *Yawn* about the revolutionary stuff... there isn't any, but the game is fun, and that's what it is all about.

Just gouge out yer eyes now
i cannot imagine this game being rated 8 here of all places.
i must be too cynical because i cannot find one thing redeeming about this rpg/clone ripoff. o yea they will be charging the numbed masses 15 bux a month too. in all seriousness, i simply have not noticed one thing that sets this typical xp grinder apart from every other wannabe mmorpg that seem to be assailing us lately. save your money. you definitely deserve better. for cripes sake it is 2004. is this all they can come up with?

* Yawn *
SSDD
Yet another typical MMORPG. Nothing revolutionary to see here. Only minor evolutionary changes, if that. More like permutations.
What sets this MMORPG apart from others? Well the most obvious difference is the ability to PvP anyone, anytime, anywhere. Unfortunately, the design of this system is somewhat flawed in that it deteriorates into a game of trying to get the person you want to kill to hit you first so you don't suffer any negative consequences. But then once you start attacking them, the objective then becomes for your opponent to stop his attacks just in time for his aggressive status to revert to neutral as you land the killing blow. Now you've got bad karma and everyone want to kill you.
Castle sieges and dragons sound cool, but I'm not sticking around long enough just to see that.
Quests are boring. Leveling is boring. It's the same old, tired MMORPG treadmill.
Oh yeah, almost forgot. The artwork on some of the characters is seriously f'ed up. I mean, look at the dwarf female. WTF is going on there?!? They got pedophiles for artists or what?
Then comes the human mage. Boy, what a humiliating class to play. You look and sound like a fairy for a start, and it only gets worse. Should you progress far enough that you are able to summon a servitor cat, you will be the laughing stock of the entire village. Instead of a normal-looking cat, you get this retarded-looking Hello Kitty piece of crap. WTF were they thinking?!?
Man, did they ever f! this game up. Buh bye, Lineage 2.

2 new servers up
The traffic jam seems to be letting up now that they got wise and got 2 new servers up and running. Graphics are great but gawd the quests are boring. Typical Korean RPG but I reccomend it highly

what can I say???
There are two aspects to everygame: graphics and gameplay (duh!?!?) This game has got the graphics down, they are simply incredible! However the gameplay is rather boring. I like to customize my character to my liking but without attribute points I can't do that. Also, the party system was a little difficult and the quests were all very generic (and trust me, you're gonna want to do quests because without them all you do is hunt the same monsters for hours and hours)

This has to be one of the best beta games that I have played The graphics are awesome and it is simetimes laggy but not to much that you cant play. They have 3 servers which can be very good at times.

what can i say?
its just great. the only problem right now would be that we CAN'T login because either too many ppoeple are trying to go at the same time or either the servers are simply not working correctly...
still a great game... only needs better poeple working on it... 3 servers for open beta? i dont think so...
