Description EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – July 10, 2008 – The closed beta for Atlantica Online will start on Friday, July 18. FilePlanet registered users will be able to enter three days before other beta testers on Tuesday, July 15, MMOABC, MMOSITE, MMORPG and onRPG are giving away a limited number of account keys on a first-come, first-served basis. FilePlanet will distribute the majority of the accounts to their subscribers on July 15. Atlantica Online is set in a parallel universe of our world that takes players through an arduous journey to unravel the hidden secrets of Atlantis. With its heavy emphasis on strategy, Atlantica was designed to stand out amongst the ‘cookie-cutter’ MMOs. The strategic gameplay incorporated into the turn-based combat, mercenary and country management systems will appeal to strategy and RPG players.

update on game status
today is the day October 30 2008 at 6PM PST ATLANTICA will go into gold status. There will be no more beta as this is the real deal.

Going on lvl 70 and still very much enjoy the game, a few more servers have been added with the big influx of players in the past weeks, only bad thing the servers are not cross linked as each server is it's own persistent world. Still enjoy playing very much and still not running out of quests or new monsters to fight. The PVP aspect of the Game has gotten way better but it still lacks in one big issue (no control of what lvl your opponent is) meaning you could be a lvl 60 fighting a lvl 35 or vice versa, this is still being worked on. Also today being grand opening day they also added a what they call a ITEM MALL this is supposed to be an area to buy items that will help you progress in the game. They are what I call luxury items and are really not needed to enjoy the game as it was meant to be. Also atm from what I see the items seem to be rather expensive but this game is just getting on the road so things will probably change later on. I will write more after I see how things are and make another update in the next few weeks.

Atlantica
Started in CB2 and currently still playing. The game has everything you want in a rpg/pvp system. Game play is very smooth and the graphics are great. The storyline is smooth and persistent and at this time I have yet to run out of quests to do. The story sets itself in European and Asian settings with an opportunity to visit almost every major town in those areas of the world. Crafting is set up in a skill system that progresses as you do more crafts and there are more than plenty of crafts to choose from. the items you craft give you the opportunity to either sell your wares or use them yourself. There are more than plenty of characters to choose from as you progress so you wont run out of chars to add to your team. Monsters to fight seem to be never ending and you choose what lvl of monster to fight. I could go on and on but this game seems to have everything a gamer would want in a game. Updates are fast and smooth
